EXPERIENCE:

1988 to present –

Partner with Rand & Casey, P.C. (formerly Edgar O. Rand, P.C.), an Atlanta CPA firm focused on services to closely held businesses. Responsible for management and delivery of all services including audits, reviews, and compilations of financial statements; tax services; mergers and acquisitions; and general business consulting.

1987 to 1988 –

Chief financial officer for Simpson/Selph International Holdings, Inc. and subsidiaries, a commercial floor covering distributor and contractor with operations in Atlanta, Macon and Orlando.

1986 to 1987 –

Chief financial officer for Bulldog Movers, Inc. and Alpha Products, Inc., two affiliated companies in the transportation and plastic products industries, respectively, with operations in Atlanta.

1976 to 1986 –

Attained position of principal with Arthur Young & Company (currently known as Ernst & Young) (the first four of these years were with Libby, Thomas and Braxton, an Atlanta firm that merged with Arthur Young in 1980). Managing principal of North Atlanta satellite office from 1983 to 1986. This office, an arm of the Entrepreneurial Services Division, handled a multitude of clients in a variety of industries. Was responsible for managing all services provided to these clients including audit and financial reporting, tax services, and consulting services.

1983 (intervening between periods with Arthur Young & Co.)-

Chief financial officer for National Smelting and Refining Company, a company in the metal smelting and refining industry with operations in Atlanta and New Jersey.
